Turkish Hammam
Authentic Ottoman hammam ritual - steam, kessa scrub, warm olive-soap foam and a full-body oil massage.

Slow down with an authentic Moroccan hammam in Hurghada - a gentler, more meditative ritual built around natural Atlas Mountain ingredients and soft, low steam. Where the Turkish hammam is all foam and marble, the Moroccan version is about earthy clay, olive soap and nourishing argan oil.
The five-step ritual begins with orange-blossom-scented steam to relax and prepare the skin, followed by rich beldi black soap made from olives, a slow kessa-glove exfoliation, a detoxifying ghassoul volcanic-clay wrap, and a finishing massage with cold-pressed argan oil at a comfortable medium pressure. You leave glowing, deeply clean and beautifully soft.
Everything is done in a candle-lit spa with genuine Moroccan products. Free hotel pickup and drop-off is included anywhere in Hurghada. Book in minutes and pay cash in EUR on arrival.
Hygiene and safety
Hospital-grade sterilisation, single-use tools where applicable, and fresh linens for every guest.

The Moroccan hammam is defined by three ingredients, and each is doing a specific job. Beldi black soap is a thick, dark paste made from crushed olives and olive oil, high in vitamin E, and it is left on the skin in the steam for several minutes rather than washed off immediately. Its purpose is to soften: by the time the kessa glove arrives, the skin is ready.
Ghassoul is volcanic clay mined in the Atlas Mountains, rich in silica, magnesium and calcium. Applied head to toe after the scrub, it draws out impurities and, unusually for a clay, leaves skin soft rather than tight when rinsed.
Argan oil closes the ritual. Cold-pressed from the kernels of the Moroccan argan tree, it absorbs quickly and is one of the better answers to skin that a week of sun, salt and air conditioning has dried out.
The Moroccan hammam runs at lower steam and a slower pace. There is no heated marble slab, no theatrical foam, and the whole ritual is more inward - closer to a long, warm facial for the entire body than to a bathhouse spectacle.
That suits certain guests better. If your skin is sensitive, if strong heat makes you uncomfortable, or if you simply want ninety quiet minutes rather than two busy hours, this is the one. It is also the better choice mid-holiday, when the sun has already done its work and what your skin needs is feeding rather than stripping.
The exfoliation is no less thorough for being gentler. The kessa glove is the same; it is the preparation around it that is softer.
Tell your therapist at the start how your skin has been behaving - dry and tight, oily from sunscreen, sensitive from too much sun - because the clay stays on longer or shorter accordingly, and the argan-oil massage can run firmer or lighter to suit.
Skip body lotion on the day; it interferes with the black soap. Bring a swimsuit if you prefer to wear one. Eat lightly beforehand and drink water afterwards.
Do not scrub or exfoliate at home for at least three days after - the treatment has already done it, and doing it again undoes the benefit. Moisturise generously instead, and keep out of strong sun for the rest of the day. If you booked the Turkish hammam earlier in the week, leave two or three days between the two rather than doing both back to back. Free hotel pickup inside Hurghada is included either way.
The Moroccan hammam is gentler and clay-based - beldi soap, ghassoul clay and argan oil - while the Turkish hammam centres on hot marble and olive-soap foam. Both cleanse and exfoliate deeply.
