Braids should never hurt. Tightness at the hairline is not a sign of good work - it is traction, and over time it damages the follicle. If anything feels tight during the appointment, say so immediately; a good braider will adjust without hesitation.

While you have them, keep the scalp moisturised with a light oil, rinse with fresh water after sea or pool swimming, and sleep in a silk or satin scarf to reduce frizz. Do not leave any style in far beyond its intended life - hair needs to be washed and the scalp needs air.

Take them out gently and with plenty of time, never in a hurry, and wash and deep-condition the hair afterwards. Children are very welcome; for young children choose a larger, looser style and expect a shorter appointment. Prices are fixed in EUR and paid in cash on arrival.
