Feet and face - the two things a week of sandals and sunscreen treat worst. Together they are EUR 60 instead of EUR 70 booked apart, in one relaxed session rather than two trips into town.

The pedicure comes first: a warm soak, heel and callus work, nails shaped, cuticles tidied, a foot and lower-leg massage and your colour. Then the deep-cleansing facial - your skin is read first, because a face that has had four days of sun and sunscreen needs a different cleanse from one that is simply dry - followed by cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extraction where it is needed, a mask chosen for your skin and moisturiser.

Book it from about day four or five of your holiday rather than on arrival: the facial has more to clear once your skin has actually met the sun, and that is the difference between a pleasant hour and a visible result.
